Bob's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Francis Stewart, Sr of Sevierville, TN quietly passed away August 14, 2014, due to complications of a stroke at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Born December 23, 1943, in Bristol, VA. Preceded in death by father Hubert Alvin Stewart, Sr., mother Ruth Hazel Taylor and wife Cheryl P Jordan. Bob is survived by his sons, Terry Stewart and wife Irene Jones, and son Robert “Robbie” Stewart, Jr., and a brother, Hubert “Chip” Alvin Stewart, Jr., three grandchildren, Stephanie Keylon, Brandon Stewart, and Daniel Stewart. 3 great grandchildren, Kameron Aikens, Kiley Aikens, and Noah Stewart. Special friends John “Chip” Stewart III (No Relation), Violet J. Friend, Becky Stewart Tharp, Mike Northern, Crendel Wees. Bob, a US Air Force veteran, was a professional musician and entertainer whose love for music and entertaining spanned decades playing across the US and as backup musician to many musical groups of the 1960s. His greatest love was playing music with his fellow musicians and entertaining people he met during his career. He called all of them his friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking everyone to visit Bob’s web site at http://www.bobstewart.ga and make a donation there towards his final expenses. Smoky Mountain Cowboy Church will holding a musical tribute service in honor of Bob on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at 10 a.m. at The Comedy Barn Theater, 2775 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, TN is in charge of arrangements.
